<p>If you are looking forward to the Special Olympics, and are rooting for the Nigerian team, here is some news – they are ready!</p>
<p>Nigeria, if you didn’t know, will be one of the few African countries that will be participating in the <a href="https://www.alljackpotscasino.com/blog/africas-ripe-digital-revolution/">15th edition of the Special Olympics World Summer Games</a>. The state has been competing in the specialized Olympics for the past few years, but 2019 might be different for them.</p>
<h3><strong>About the Nigerian Team</strong></h3>
<p>Nigeria is surely going to give a tough competition to others this time around. The country will be represented with a delegation of 86  people. This includes 60 athletes and 26 officials who will travel to the UAE from March 14 until 21st. The athletes will take part in only eight games: football, badminton, basketball, swimming, cycling, volleyball and table tennis.  The team has high hopes of returning with some medals from the competition which takes place every two years.</p>
<p>During the 2017 Special Sports Olympics Games which took place in Austria, Nigeria was represented by a total of 22 athletes. There is an increase in the number of athletes this year; thus the team is optimistic that they will perform better in this year’s edition.</p>
<p>The team has been facing some challenges in terms of training equipment. The Special squad might not be well known as the Super Eagles which is the men’s national football team, but they have been making the country proud. The team has continuously been appealing to donors and sponsors to come to their aid so that training can become more comfortable for them.</p>
<p>Luckily, the Nigerian team has been receiving help from various corporate sponsors who have been providing special facilities. For instance, Max International is the latest company which sponsored the team with eye and dental equipment.</p>
<h3><strong>About the Special Sports Olympics Games</strong></h3>
<p>2019 will be the 15th edition of the Special Olympics which will be held in Abu Dhabi. The Special Olympics which began on July 20, 1962, have been growing in the number of athletes who participate in it.  The competition which takes place every two years is the most significant competition in the world for both adults and children living with a disability.</p>
<p>It is estimated that race unifies 5 million people from 172 countries. However, the event takes place almost every day locally, nationally, internationally or geographically; thus there are over 100,00 events which take place.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.vox.com/2019/2/24/18238697/2019-oscars-no-host-whos-hosting-controversy">In this year’s</a> edition, it is expected that the event will be more unified than ever. This is because there are new entrants who will be participating in the competition. For instance, in Africa there 11 new entrants who will grace the competition. They include Madagascar, Niger, South Sudan, Chad, Congo, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Cape Verde, Burundi, Mozambique, and Equatorial Guinea. It is estimated that 7000 athletes will be hosted in Abu Dhabi, so Nigeria has a long journey ahead of it. Let us know what you think about the Special Olympics.</p>

<p>Samuel Adedeji, An Ibadan-based Pastor decried an alleged threat to his life by his wife, Temiloluwa at the Mapo <a href="http://www.concisenews.global/tag/customary-court" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Customary court</a> in Ibadan, said his wife beats him frequently.</p>
<p>Pastor Samuel who pleaded for the union to be terminated said his wife has become a distraction to his ministry.</p>
<p>In his petition to the court, Adedeji who lived at Ologuneru area of Ibadan mentioned that his wife humiliated him and also torture him psychologically.</p>
<p>“I think that I actually got it wrong by not making proper spiritual consultation before I went to the altar with Temiloluwa as a husband.</p>
<p>“For too long, I have had to cope with all sorts of humiliation, insults, abuses in addition to emotional and psychological torture which I have often suffered from her.</p>
<p>“When Temiloluwa’s trouble-making reached its peak, she started beating me and tearing off my dresses.</p>
<p>“Recently, she gave me three dirty slaps in the night and was attempting to stab me to death that same night when I had to run for my dear life.</p>
<p>“Temiloluwa has no regard for anybody because, by her attitude, she is a devil in human skin.</p>
<p>“Now, she has left my home and I need to move on too. There is no more love between both of us,” Samuel said.</p>
<p>However, the respondent was conspicuously absent in the court when she was called to respond to the allegations levelled against her.</p>
<p>The court’s bailiff informed the Arbitrators, led by the President, Chief Ademola Odunade that he had served notices of the court hearing on Temiloluwa and that she deliberately ignored the notices.</p>
<p>After careful consideration, Odunade dissolved the union, citing threat to life as the reason.</p>
<p>He ordered that the copy of the judgment be served on the respondent in order for her to be aware of the latest in the case.</p>

<p>Retired Air Vice Marshal, Tony Omenyi has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment for money laundering.</p>
<p>The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Thursday pass the judgement after the Air-Force Chief was found guilty of  N136 million fraudulent charges.</p>
<p>Tony Omenyi was said to have received a large amount of money from a contractor with the Nigerian Air Force, while he was a public officer.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.concisenews.global">Concise News</a> gathered that Tony Omenyi was also the former Managing Director of Aeronautical Engineering and Technical Services Limited, a subsidiary company of <a href="http://www.concisenews.global/tag/naf">NAF</a>, received the money as kickbacks or bribe from SkyExperts Nigeria Limited, in 2014.</p>
<p>However, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba sentenced the convict on three-count charges and ruled that the sentences should run concurrently.</p>
<p>According to reports, the judge also established that the company, Huzee Nigeria Limited, through which the convict was said to have received the sum of N136m from the contractor, SkyExperts Nigeria Limited, be wound up by the Federal Government.</p>
<p>The court also ordered that the sum of N62m already recovered from the convicts by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission be forfeited to the Federal Government.</p>

<p>Ivorian star Kolo Toure is back in the English Premier League after he was confirmed as first team coach at Leicester City.</p>
<p>Toure moves from Celtic alongside new Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers, who is now set to join Brendan Rodgers’ staff at English side.</p>
<p>The pair has now formed a successful coaching partnership since joining forces in September 2017 where they won the Scottish domestic treble last season.</p>
<p>The Ivorian, who won over 100 caps for Ivory Coast, also has two Premier League titles to his name as a player for Arsenal and Manchester City.</p>
