Amidst wide speculations that <a href="http://concisenews.global/entertainment/">BBNaija</a> organisers held Tacha hostage after her disqualification, the show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has revealed that she has been with her people.
<a href="http://concisenews.global/entertainment/">Concise News</a> reports that Ebuka made this known during a live Instagram video on Sunday.
Tacha’s journey in the pepper dem edition ended after a fight which almost became physical with Mercy on Friday, September 27.
Following her disqualification, there were uproars that organisers of the show held her hostage for unspecified reasons.
But dismissing the claims, Ebuka said: “I think she’s been with her friend and family since yesterday. I think she’s fine.”
“My work is to be here,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Port Harcourt first daughter even though had been disqualified from the show, had the highest number of votes from viewers, after being nominated for possible eviction.

<h2>Kogi Governorship Election: Miyetti Allah Endorses One ‘Formidable’ Candidate</h2>
The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has adopted <a href="http://concisenews.global/politics">Governor Yahaya Bello</a> as its candidate for the forthcoming November 16 governorship election in Kogi state.
Concise News reports that the National Organising Secretary of the group, Alhaji Aliyu Saleh, who made the declaration at a news conference in Lokoja on Saturday, directed Fulanis in the state to immediately embark on Ruga-to-Ruga campaign for the re-election of Bello.
Saleh said that the group decided to support the governor for providing a secure environment for Fulanis to operate in the state.
“We are also supporting the governor for approving free Contagious Bovine Plurol Pheneumonia (CBPP) vaccination for over 23, 000 cows belonging to our members in the state ,” he said. <h2>Kogi Election: SDP Candidate Rejects Disqualification</h2>
The candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Natasha Akpoti, has condemned and rejected her disqualification as governorship candidate on the grounds of the age of her running mate.
In a press statement issued on Saturday by the Spokesman, Natasha Akpoti Campaign Organization, Odaudu Minister, he said this decision is inconsistent with INEC allowing gubernatorial candidates/running mates of same age with or even younger than hers in several political parties in states across the country to contest in the 2019 general elections.

The Director General, National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Olusegun Runsewe has taken another swipe at Cross-dresser Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, who according to him is an embarrassment to Nigeria.
Runsewe likened Bobrisky’s influence in the society with the outbreak of Ebola, the deadly virus that killed thousands in West Africa few years ago.
According to him, the cross-dresser poses serious hazards to Nigerian youths and if his actions are not curtailed, the effect would be worse than Ebola outbreak.
He said: ”Bobrisky is a national disaster, an embarrassment to the country, engaging in cultural corruption as a cross-dresser and we have to start to curtail his activities before it gets out of hand”
”We will not allow Bobrisky to destroy the future of our youths and the unborn Nigerians,” Runsewe said.
Speaking on the reasons the cross-dresser’s 28th birthday was stopped by police in Lekki, the DG said it was revealed that he had been training some Nigerian youths to toe the same line with him.
He further noted that Bobrisky’s activities were against the culture and tradition of Nigeria.

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has unveiled the latest iteration of his space company’s newly assembled Starship, outlining a speedy development timeline for the centerpiece vehicle of SpaceX’s quest to launch humans to the moon and Mars.
Musk showed a crowd of space enthusiasts and reporters at SpaceX’s rocket development site late on Saturday in the remote village of Boca Chica, Texas, animations of Starship landing on the moon and Mars and predicted that the rocket’s first orbital flight could come in the next six months, followed by missions to space with humans aboard the next year.
“This is basically the holy grail of space,” Musk said, standing between a towering, newly assembled Starship rocket and Falcon 1 — the company’s first vehicle whose debut orbital mission was celebrated by SpaceX 11 years ago.
“The critical breakthrough that’s needed for us to become a space-faring civilization is to make space travel like air travel,” said Musk, who is also the chief executive of electric carmaker Tesla Inc (TSLA.O).
Starship, a shiny steel rocketship designed to ferry dozens of humans to the moon and Mars, is the top half of Musk’s colossal interplanetary rocket system that stands 387 feet tall (118 meters) as the latest addition to SpaceX’s lineup of reusable launch vehicles. Musk named Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa as Starship’s first private passenger in 2018.
The Boca Chica village, a few miles north of the Mexican border, is ground zero for SpaceX’s three-year experimental test program for Starship, whose rocket engine tests have rattled the nerves of residents living in a remote hamlet of roughly two dozen homes a mile away.
“I think the actual danger to the Boca Chica village is low but it’s not tiny,” Musk said during a question and answer session. “So probably over time it’d be better to buy out the villages, and we’ve made an offer to that effect.”
Some residents have rejected SpaceX’s non-negotiable offer to buyout their homes for three times the market value.
A three-legged prototype of the rocket named Starhopper has test launched in the village twice since July, most recently flying as high as 500 feet (152 meters) and landing on an adjacent slab of concrete to trial Musk’s next generation rocket engine dubbed Raptor.
Musk’s mission to the moon aligns with NASA’s goal of sending humans there by 2024 under its Artemis program, an accelerated deep-space initiative spurred by the Trump administration in March that aims to work with a handful of U.S. space companies in building a long-term presence on the lunar surface before eventually colonizing Mars.
The space agency has tapped SpaceX to figure out how to land vehicles on the lunar surface and help develop a system for refueling rockets — like Starship — in space, an “important technology to aid sustained exploration efforts on the Moon and Mars,” NASA said in a release on Friday.
NASA has awarded SpaceX and Boeing Co (BA.N) a total of $6.8 billion to build competing rocket and capsule systems to launch astronauts into orbit from American soil for the first time since 2011. Development of both astronaut capsules have been beset by delays and testing mishaps.
“I am looking forward to the SpaceX announcement tomorrow. In the meantime, Commercial Crew is years behind schedule,” NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine said in a Friday night statement. “NASA expects to see the same level of enthusiasm focused on the investments of the American taxpayer. It’s time to deliver.”

The senator who represented Kaduna Central in the Eighth National Assembly, Shehu Sani has hinted that he now roots For Mercy in the ongoing BBNaija show, Concise News reports.
Sani in a tweet on his Twitter handle recounted how he earlier rooted for UK metropolitan police, Khafi and then Tacha who has also bid farewell to the pepper dem edition.
“When our Khafi left we settled for Tacha and now Tacha left,we are settling for Merci,hoping some of us will not be accused of mobile loyalty,” he said on his twitter handle.
Recall that Khafi was evicted on Sunday, September 15, while Tacha was disqualified from the reality show after she engaged in a fight with fellow housemate on Friday, September 27.
Currently, there are six housemates left in the competition which will end in few days time.

The House of Representatives impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump over his request that a foreign power investigate a domestic political rival is set to intensify this week with testimony due from witnesses concerning allegations made by a whistleblower within the U.S. intelligence community.
The whistleblower’s complaint cited a July 25 telephone call in which Trump asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to investigate Joe Biden, one of the leading Democratic candidates seeking to challenge him in 2020, and his son Hunter, who sat on the board of a Ukrainian gas company.
Democrats have accused Trump of pressuring a vulnerable U.S. ally to get dirt on a political rival for personal political gain. Trump’s July 25 phone call came after he froze nearly $400 million in aid intended to help Ukraine deal with an insurgency by Russian-backed separatists in the eastern part of the country. The aid was later provided.
The House Intelligence Committee is leading the impeachment inquiry. The inquiry in the Democratic-led House could lead to approval of articles of impeachment against the Republican president and a subsequent trial in the Republican-led Senate on whether to remove Trump from office.
Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff said on Sunday he expects the whistleblower to appear before the panel very soon.
While Congress is on a two-week recess, members of the committee will return to the U.S. Capitol this week to carry out an investigation that is likely to produce new subpoenas for documents and other material.
The committee is scheduled to hold a closed-door hearing on Friday with the intelligence community’s inspector general, Michael Atkinson, who concluded that the whistleblower complaint was of urgent concern and appeared credible.
House investigators are set to take the first witness testimony from two people mentioned in the whistleblower’s complaint.
On Wednesday, three House committees – Intelligence, Foreign Affairs and Oversight – are due to get a deposition from former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, who Trump labeled “bad news” during his call with Zelenskiy.
On Thursday, the committees are set to get a deposition from Trump’s former special representative for Ukraine, Kurt Volker, who resigned last week after the whistleblower complaint named him as one of two U.S. diplomats who followed up with Ukrainian officials a day after Trump’s call to Zelenskiy.
The whistleblower has not been publicly identified. Trump, in a series of Twitter posts on Sunday evening, said he wanted to “meet” the whistleblower, who he called “my accuser,” as well as “the person who illegally gave this information” to the whistleblower.
“Was this person SPYING on the U.S. President? Big Consequences!” Trump wrote.
Some House Democrats said articles of impeachment against Trump could move to the House floor as soon as next month.
“In my mind, it’s several weeks,” House Judiciary Committee member David Cicilline told reporters last week. “He has already admitted that he contacted a foreign leader and discussed with him ginning up a fake story about one of his political opponents.”
Last Friday, the House Foreign Affairs Committee issued a subpoena to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for documents related to the Ukraine scandal. House Democrats also have sought material from the White House and Justice Department.
Schiff said any effort by Trump to stonewall the probe could be used to impeach him for obstructing Congress.
Trump has withstood repeated scandals since taking office in 2017. House Democrats considered, but never moved ahead with, pursuing articles of impeachment over Trump’s actions relating to Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election aimed at boosting his candidacy.
The United States has been giving military aid to Ukraine since Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014.

Concise News understands that Tacha has overtime received backlashes from fans of the reality show, over her character, body odour claims and the tattoo of Davido’s face on her chest.
The tattoo artist, in an Instagram post urged the fans of BBNaija to show some love to the Port Harcourt first daughter, rather than body shaming her.
The tattoo artist wrote “Incase Tacha wishes to remove the tattoo without a trace, we are hereby offering her free of charge.”
“We are also ready to help her crest any type of new amazing tattoos she may be interested in, since she is a lover of the body art. It is our hope that this will add to the restoration of her self-esteem and give her a feeling of fresh start.”
In the same vein, former beauty queen Dabota Lawson earlier promised to help Tacha treat her ‘body odour’, while socialite, Jaruma is promising her N50million and Bobrisky promising her N1million.

Nigeria’s representatives in this Year’s CAF Champions League, Enyimba have failed in their bid to qualify for the group stage following their 1-0 loss to Al-Hilal in Omdurman on Sunday.
The Two-time African champions had shot themselves in the foot right from the first leg in Aba a fortnight ago as they could only record a barren draw against the Sudanese side.
While coach Usman Abd’Allah’s men were optimistic they could get the needed result in Omdurman to still pull through, a solitary strike in the second half by the hosts ended their aspirations of a possible third Champions League triumph this season.
Both teams were evenly matched in the first half though the hosts had the better chances.
The People’s Elephants over-reliance counter-attacks meant they were on the back foot for a large part of Sunday’s tie and if it wasn’t for goalkeeper Olufemi Kayode, Al-Hilal would have registered a handful of goals.
Notwithstanding, the hosts did get the crucial goal they craved for barely three minutes into the second half and they held on till the final whistle to progress with a 1-0 aggregate scoreline.
While Ah-Hilal moved to the Champions League group phase, Enyimba have stepped down to the Caf Confederation Cup where they still need to navigate past the playoffs to make it to the group stage in the second-tier club competition.

The Federal Government has arraigned the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Sowore, the publisher of online news platform Sahara Reporters, was arraigned on Monday alongside his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare.
The duo were brought to the court by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) through the backdoor.
Some supporters of the activist who were outside waiting to catch a glimpse of him did not get to see Sowore.
Spotting a white shirt, Sowore was all smiles as he cheered a few of his supporters who made it into the courtroom.
Concise News recalls that the Federal Government had filed charges bordering on treasonable felony and money laundering against the publisher of SaharaReporters.
Sowore, who was also the presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), is charged alongside Olawale Bakare, also known as Mandate, in a seven-count charge filed by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation.
The Department of State Services (DSS), who are currently detaining Sowore, had claimed that the publisher of SaharaReporters was involved in acts of terrorism and plotted to topple the government; allegations he has since denied.
In the charges filed on Friday, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), accused the duo of committing conspiracy to commit a treasonable felony in breach of section 516 of the Criminal Code Act by allegedly staging “a revolution campaign on September 5, 2019, aimed at removing the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
They are also alleged to have actually committed the offence of reasonable felony in breach of Section, 4(1)(c) of the Criminal Code Act, by using the platform of Coalition for Revolution, on August 2019 in Abuja, Lagos and other parts of Nigeria, to staged the #RevolutionNow protest allegedly aimed at removing the President.
Malami also accused Sowore of involving in cybercrime offences in violation of section 24(1)(b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention) Act, by “knowingly” sending “messages by means of press interview granted on Arise Television network, which you knew to be false, for the purpose of causing insult, enmity, hatred and ill-will on the person of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Recall that the DSS continues to hold Sowore in custody in violation of the court order granting him bail six days ago.
Justice Taiwo Taiwo, who earlier on August 8, granted the DSS permission to hold the activist for 45, had on September 24, granted him bail.
Despite meeting the bail condition on September 25, Sowore has not been released by the DSS.

Former <a href="http://concisenews.global/entertainment/">Big Brother Naija</a> (BBNaija) housemate Khloe has cleared the air on speculations that she was the brain behind Tacha’s disqualification, Concise News reports.
Tacha was disqualified from the competition on Friday, September 27 after she engaged in a fight with Mercy.
Before Tacha’s disqualification on Friday evening, Khloe had called out the organisers of the show to take actions over the fight between the Port Harcourt first daughter and Mercy.
Stating that she was evicted for the same reason during the 2018 edition, the reality star said many of the things were not acceptable during the last edition are now done with no actions taken.
Taking to her Instagram handle, she said: “Questioning what the show stands for, she said: ” I can show what I signed,what it says and the rules BUT yah all will say “ it’s big brother house and his rules “ lol”
But after Tacha’s eviction, Khloe said some “uncultured” have called her out, blaming her for Tacha’s disqualification.
“I was talking about my own situation, my season and this season in general, yet some persons are saying It was directed at someone.”
“Tacha wasn’t the only party involved in the situation, if she was disqualified because of my rant then Mercy will also be out!”
“Since the beginning of this season I have shown nothing but love to this contestant as I was glad she’s one of the people that got in after all the social media drama during her auditions, why will I in turn want to sabotage her stay in the house?”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner in Taraba State, Baba Abba, has died, Concise News reports.
Public Relations Officer of INEC in the state, Fabian Vhamhi, confirmed the report to Channels Television via a telephone on Sunday.
Vhamhi said Abba died Sunday night in Maiduguri after a protracted illness.
The remains of the deceased has since been laid to rest according to Islamic rites in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.
Concise News understands that Abba was a part of the result collation exercise for the presidential election in Taraba, but gave way for the Governorship due to his illness.
The deceased was deployed to Taraba state on the 7th of May 2018 to serve as the Resident Electoral Commissioner for the 2019 general elections in the state.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has said that it invited journalist and Human rights activist, Chido Onumah, from a possible mob attack.
Concise News had reported that <a href="https://www.concisenews.global/2019/09/30/dss-frees-journalist-chido-onumah/">Onumah was nabbed by the DSS</a> at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja as he returned from a trip in Spain on Sunday at about 5pm.
He was released around 10.30 pm at the DSS headquarters, after being quizzed for being part of a plot to cause disaffection in the country.
But reacting to the news, spokesman of the DSS, Dr. Peter Afunanya, in a statement on Monday said that it had only had ‘an interaction’ with the activist.
Afunanya said: “On his arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on 29th September 2019, it was discovered that Onumah wore a T-shirt with WE ARE ALL BIAFRANS inscription on it. With credible intelligence that he might be a subject of mob attack if allowed to go into town in same cloth, the Service invited him and drew his attention to the implications of his probable (un)intended action.
“It was strongly believed that an attack on Onumah would have sparked ethno-religious reprisals with dire consequences for law and order and public safety in the country. He understood the issues and pledged not to engage in activities that may cause disaffection in Abuja and the country at large. He subsequently removed the cloth with the inciting symbols and inscriptions and agreed not to use it.
“He was rather engaged in an interaction during which an act of his capable of undermining public order and national security was explained to him.
“The interaction between Onumah and the Service held in a convivial atmosphere. He appreciated the courtesies extended to him. Afterwards, the Service arranged for him to go back to his accommodation in town.
“It is hoped that this clarification has dispelled the erroneous claims and reportage that he was arrested. The Service acted within the confines of its mandate and only carried out its routine security duty that could have been discharged by a similar agency in any part of the world. It is not out of place for concerned security agencies to have sought clarification from a traveler concerning a subject of security interest.
“The DSS reaffirms its avowed commitment to the rule of law and protection of citizens and national critical assets.”

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has commended the decision of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State to enrol his six-year-old son in a public primary school.
Concise News had reported that <a href="https://www.concisenews.global/2019/09/23/nigerian-governor-enrols-child-in-public-school-photos/">El-Rufai last week Monday enrolled his son</a> Abubakar El-Rufai in a public primary school.
El-Rufai had enroled his son as a primary one pupil of Kaduna Capital School as the new academic session begins in the northwest state.
Speaking to the reporters, the governor said he took the action to express his determination to raise the standards of education in the state.
However, the group in a press statement issued on Sunday signed by its director, Ishaq Akintola, described the governor’s move as bold and daring
“This is good news. It is unheard of in the history of this country that a state governor identifies with the masses by enrolling his biological son or daughter in a public school.
“We are particularly interested in what El-Rufai has done because MURIC had long been advocating that public officers should enroll their children in public schools up to tertiary level. We are therefore excited that at least one sitting governor has hearkened to our tiding.
“MURIC salutes El-Rufai for walking his talk. Come to think of it: how many of our leaders of today keep their promises?
“On the contrary, they double-speak, cheat and lie without batting an eyelid. Whereas El-Rufai has identified with the Kaduna people, other political leaders have held tightly to a mentality of class compartmentalisation of the ‘haves’ and the ‘have-nots’, the poor jamahiir and the capitalist comprador bourgeouisie.
“If we put ethnic, religious and political sentiments aside, we will see that El-Rufai has done what we all thought was impossible in our lifetime. It is the hallmark of good governance. Change is definitely here. The mantra of change introduced by the Buhari regime is now a reality.
MURIC highlighted the advantages of the enrolment of children of public office holders in public schools.
“There are many advantages in the enrolment of children of public office holders in public schools. For instance, it boosts public confidence in the education system.
“It also ensures that leaders become active stakeholders in the affairs of public schools. There is no gainsaying that political leaders may not pay proper attention to public schools unless their own children enrolled in them.
“This may attract the much needed infrastructural facilities and improved teachers’ welfare to public schools.
“To cap the edifice, we call on other governors and political leaders to emulate Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. In particular,
“We appeal to Nigerians, in general, to take their destiny in their own hands by refusing to vote for politicians who distance themselves from the masses,” he said.

Just evicted <a href="http://concisenews.global/entertainment/">Big Brother Naija</a> (BBNaija) housemate, Elozonam has cleared air on relationship with Diane, Concise News reports.
Speaking with the show host Emeka Obi-Uchendu during Sunday live eviction show, Elozonam stated that himself and Diane have just been close friends.
He however, said even though they had no form of romantic relationship in the big brother house, it could happen later.
“I and Diane are just close friends. Although anything is possible outside the show,” Elozonam said.

The Presidency has said that it can not interfere in the continued detention of the convener of #RevolutionNow protests, Omoyele Sowore, by the Department of State Services (DSS).
Special Adviser to President Muhammdu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina stated this during a live political programme, Politics Today, aired on Channels television.
Concise News recalls that the Federal Government had <a href="https://www.concisenews.global/2019/09/21/dss-charges-sowore-with-treasonable-felony-cybercrime/">filed charges bordering on treasonable felony</a> and money laundering against the publisher of SaharaReporters.
Sowore, who was also the presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), is charged alongside Olawale Bakare, also known as Mandate, in a seven-count charge filed by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation.
The Department of State Services (DSS), who are currently detaining Sowore, had claimed that the publisher of SaharaReporters was involved in acts of terrorism and plotted to topple the government; allegations he has since denied.
However, Adesina pointed out that Sowore’s prosecution was still unravelling within the realms of the security and judiciary.
According to him, “It is an issue that is unraveling and I think it is still in the realm of security and judiciary.
“The DSS has a spokesman in Peter Afunanya. If you ask him this question, I m sure he will be able to respond.”
The presidential spokesman said that he had not been briefed by his principal on the stand of the presidency.
Adesina added, “As we are now, I think it is premature for the presidency to weigh into this matter but when the presidency speaks, it should be the final position on this.
“The President had been away. He came into the country yesterday. I have not been briefed. If he says this is our position on this matter then I can speak on it.
“Because I have not been briefed, I won’t be able to say much but I am sure as a media house, if you try to speak with the spokesman of the DSS he may oblige.”

The Department of State Services (DSS) has freed the Coordinator of the African Centre for Media & Information Literacy (AFRICMIL) Chido Onumah.
He was nabbed by the DSS Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja as he returned from a trip in Spain.
Onumah was released on Sunday night just a few hours after he was named in Lagos, an associate Mart Obono told TheCable.
His arrest had drawn controversy among Nigerians with many calling for his release.
“Waylaying law-abiding citizens should not be turned into the preoccupation of an entire security outfit,” AFRICMIL had also demanded
“The arrest of Mr Onumah, coming at the heels of harassment of other critical voices, smacks of grotesque days of the Nigerian history that Mr Onumah and his comrades fought steely against.”
Concise News, as at the time of publishing this report, learned that the DSS has not issued a statement on the incident.
Also, it is unclear why Onumah who is a known critic of the current administration was arrested.

The Kebbi state government has started the implementation of the new minimum wage following the payment of September 2019 salary, Concise News reports.
It was learned that the Secretary to the Kebbi State Government Babale Umar had on Monday announced that it will start the payment of the new minimum wage.
He said that: “In line with the signing of the new minimum wage legislation by President Muhammadu Buhari, and cognizance of Kebbi Government’s commitment to workers’ welfare, Governor Atiku Bagudu has graciously approved for the immediate payment of minimum wage of N30,000 to the state civil servants with effect from September 2019.”
According to him, the implementation followed consultation with members of Kebbi State House of Assembly, leaders of labour unions and relevant government agencies.
Kebbi State now becomes the first in northern Nigeria and one of the few states in the nation to begin the payment of the N30,000 minimum wage.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has said the allegations against Vice President Yemi Osinbajo were baseless, Concise News reports.
CAN said this in a statement on Sunday after it met with Osinbajo following an alleged N90bn scam involving him and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
Concise News reports that a former official of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Timi Frank had alleged that Osinbajo took the sum from the FIRS to bankroll the 2019 election.
Osinbajo had denied the claim and even sued Timi Frank for defamation of character.
And CAN has side Osinbajo who is also a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
“CAN can never endorse corruption and has never exonerated anyone accused of corruption because we are not a court of law,” the Christian body said.
“Anyone accused of corruption has to prove his or her innocence with documentary evidence before a court of competent jurisdiction as we all know before his or her innocence can be upheld.
“CAN leadership visited the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo last Friday to hear his side of the story instead of rushing to the press either to condemn him or throw our weight behind him. This we believe, there is no law that is against our action.
“After we had interacted with him and he said that the allegation was baseless and should be treated as rubbish, and not only that, he said that he was going to pursue the matter legally to prove his innocence, we then assured him that if he is proved innocent, then we throw our weight behind him.
“We thereafter prayed for him and our nation Nigeria. We urged him to continue to serve the nation with clean hands.
“The leadership of CAN has never endorsed corruption. In our earlier visits to President Muhammadu Buhari, we had praised him for fighting war against corruption but urged him to make it comprehensive, sparing no one irrespective of political affiliation.”
The added that “We were there to pray for him and also to let him tell us about the allegations against him whether true or false and he has cleared the air that there was no iota of truth in what some people decided to bring out against him.
“And he was ready to prove himself (innocent) and to go all out with them. If there is an allegation, there must be evidence to prove it.
“Therefore, he said we should see it as rubbish. It can never happen with him and it has never happened.
“If the allegation was not true and the people who alleged cannot prove it, then, you know that the Church will be very proud of him, and will continue to be proud (of him) and we are praying for him and we are also saying that nobody should toy with the innocent that are faithfully serving us in the nation for whatever reason, the whole of Nigerians we rise together to fight such people”.

Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that rebuilding the side will need patience, Concise News reports.
The former Premier League champions have six points in eight games this season and have not claimed the crown since 2013.
Solskjaer was appointed as caretaker boss before being handed the job on a permanent role after an impressive start.
However, the United great has admitted that taking the club to the level it belongs will not happen immediately.
“It’s not like the situation we had last year. There’s no lack of desire there,” he said.
“For us it’s about building a new culture, building a new team, bringing everybody together. Is it the job I expected?
“Yes. I never said this was going to be a quick-fix job. It’s step after step after step.
“Of course, we’ve hit a few bumps in the road, I never said this was going to be a quick-fix job. Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
According to him, “We need time, and the attitude of the boys has been great. [We must] keep working on improving the understanding and relationships between all players, and the style we want to play.”
United will take on Arsenal on Monday in a Premier League tie.

The Secretary General of the Arewa Consultative Forum (SGF) Anthony Sani has claimed that banditry and kidnapping began in southern Nigeria.
Sani said this recently where he noted that individually, northerners are developed but lamented that insurgency has been exported to the region from southern Nigeria.
He told Vanguard that, “if we compare the socio-economic status of the North by way of number of universities, schools, roads, etc with what obtains today, however, the pace, majority of northerners count their blessings one-by-one.
“The only regret is the insecurity posed by insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery, etc, most of which have been exported to the North from the South but which we hope to overcome.
“After all, we know that over the long history of nations and long lives of individuals, the powerful and the powerless, the rich and the poor often switch places.
“Our situation is not beyond redemption given purposeful leadership and the best of every northerner.”

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar has lamented the death of social commentator Stanley Nwabia.
Concise News reported that Nwabia, 43, died on Sunday after an unsuccessful blood transfusion in Lagos State.
Nwabia was an ardent supporter of the PDP and a critic of President Muhammadu Buhari.
While reacting to the death of Nwabia, Atiku in a tweet on Sunday described the deceased social media commentator as a patriot.
He said Nwabia’s death calls for sobering emotions as he prayed to “God Almighty console his family and may his soul rest in peace.”
“It is a cause for sobering emotions to read about the sudden demise of Mr StanleyNwabia.
“A patriotic Nigerian and forthright supporter of our great party,” he said. “God Almighty console his family and may his soul Rest In Peace.”
Nwabia was a native of Abia State but was born and had lived in Lagos throughout his life.
He was survived by his wife and four children.

Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly has said Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will come out victorious following his troubles in the presidency.
Concise News had denied claims by a former official of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Timi Frank that the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) provided N90billion as campaign funds for Osinbajo during the 2019 elections.
However, Bakare said the claim is hard to believe and that Osinbajo would not do such a thing.

Bakare also said that a trending video of him saying he will become Nigeria’s next President was merely an expression of his aspiration.
He also pointed out that the video is seven months old, adding that what God showed him was his personal business.
He had a right to aspire to the highest office, noting that “It is the true expression of my political ambition. Whatever God has shown me is my private ambition.”

Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha, who was disqualified on Friday night for <a href="https://www.concisenews.global/2019/09/27/bbnaija-2019-mercy-confirms-tachas-body-odour-during-fight-seyi-reacts-video/">physically attacking fellow housemate Mercy,</a> got the highest number of votes among the five housemates put up for possible eviction this week.
According to the results posted on the Twitter handle of the organisers on Sunday, Tacha got 41.66% of viewers’ votes, Mike received 26.64%, while Ike got 18.90%.
Elozonam got 7.15% and Cindy finished last with 5.65%.
Concise News reports that Frodd, the housemate with the Ultimate Veto Power, had last Monday nominated the aforementioned housemates for possible eviction from the show.

While Cindy exited the house in a surprise eviction on Friday morning, Tacha got disqualified after fighting with Mercy.
Then during the Live Eviction show on Sunday night, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced Elozonam and Ike as the next housemates to leave the house.
With the exits of Ike and Elozonam on Sunday night, the finalists for the “Pepper Dem” edition of BBNaija are Mike, Omashola, Mercy, Frodd, Diane and Seyi.

Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, says God has taken away the protection of the enemies of Nigeria as the country marks its 59th Independence Day Anniversary in two days’ time.
The vice president said this in his message to Nigerians at the 59th Independence Day Church Service at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, the country’s capital.
“God had promised, through the mouths of His trusted prophets, that He is giving us a New Nigeria! May I announce to you today that God is ready to take us into the Promised Land, the new Nigeria,” the professor of Law said on Sunday.
He added, “And we must remember that God, the Almighty God, is the builder of nations, that God controls the destinies of nations and its people. Psalms 24:1 says, ‘The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness. The world and those who dwell therein.’
“God promised the children of Israel that He would take them from bondage, suffering and slavery into the Promised Land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
“By the hand of Joshua, God brought His promise to pass. They got to the Jordan and as their feet touched the water, the Jordan was separated and they walked on dry land all across the Jordan.
“They got to Jericho, a well-fortified city and they did not fire a shot, they brought down the walls of Jericho by a shout. Thereafter, when they were about to take the Promised Land after Moses had asked that some go and spy out the land, some of those who went to spy said that it would be impossible to take the city, impossible to enter the Promised Land. However, Caleb and Joshua had a different spirit, and they said that because God had promised and because He could do it, all the problems were just bread, mere bread to be eaten by the children of Israel.
“God has promised us a new Nigeria, a peaceful Nigeria, a prosperous Nigeria, a Nigeria where justice and equity shall prevail, a united Nigeria, where the different tribes and tongues are not wedges of separation, but the joyful textures of our togetherness. God is ready to fulfill His promise.
“We stand outside the new city, the Promised Land, the new Nigeria; like the spies sent by Moses to spy out the Promised Land, some are saying, “Ha! It is impossible, Nigeria cannot change, the ethnic and religious divisions are too deep, corruption cannot end, politicians are too selfish and mischievous.”
Osinbajo also said that “Yet, like Caleb and Joshua, we declare that these problems are merely bread for us, we will enter the Promised Land! The new Nigeria is here, and each and every one of us, our families, our friends, all of us, will eat the pleasant fruits of this land.
“God Almighty has taken away the protection of the enemies of this nation. He has taken away their powers, the noise we hear, the turbulence we experience, are the last gasps of a defeated foe. The day of freedom is at the door.
“As with Abraham, we in the words of Hebrews 11:10 wait for the new Nigeria, which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
“As we wait, we declare in the words of Psalms 46:8-11 -‘Come, behold the works of the Lord, who has made desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. Be still and know that I am God! I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.”

A baby factory has been uncovered by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command, Concise New reports.
The police also rescued 19 pregnant girls and a day-old-baby from a detention camp in the Ikotun area of the state.
The victims, some of whom are between ages thirteen and twenty-eight, were allegedly lured to Lagos with promises of jobs.
One of the victims, Hope Bright from Rivers State who narrated her ordeal said her two-year-old child whom she came with from the village was snatched from her.
“As I reached there, the woman checked me. Suddenly, my stomach started kicking me. From there, they said that I will born.
“They took me to the hospital, God helped me I delivered that child, but the baby died,” she said.
When asked where the baby is, Bright who broke down in tears said: “They collected the baby from me, I did not see that child again.”
Channels Television gathered that the arrest was made after several weeks of monitoring and information gathering by the Police.
Among the suspects arrested are the caregivers, nurse to the syndicate and the hotel operators where the leader of the gang lodges the victims awaiting child delivery.
One of the suspects and the hotel operator said: “At the spot, madam searched my hotel and discovered four women with pregnancy and one baby.”
