Fast-rising UK based <a href="http://concisenews.global/entertainment/">Nollywood</a> actress, Timmy Macnicol, has disclosed her obsession with veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damiji, also known as RMD.
Macnicol made the disclosure in a recent chat where she stated that RMD was her dream man and is her role model.
In her words; “I love RMD. He is my role model. When it was much younger, I used to dream about the guy a lot. I was so obsessed with him. Everything I do, I think about him. Every night, I meet him in my dreams. He was my dream man.”
Speaking on her love for some popular acts in the movie industry, the mother of one said “I also like Tonto Dikeh and Mercy Johnson. These ladies are the kinds of people I want to work with. But Rita Dominic is the main actress I love and respect. I was told that I look so much like Rita Dominic. Not face, but body structure and the behind.”
The actress was in the news recently after she said she regrets getting married to an older man like Regina Daniels.

Sterling wasted a huge chance to win it in stoppage time, and the result means City could end the day 11 points behind leaders Liverpool if Jurgen Klopp’s side win Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield.

The match against the struggling London neighbours kicks off by 4:00 pm at the Bridge.

Senator Dino Melaye on Saturday vowed to go to court to challenge the outcome of the Kogi West Senatorial Election over what he termed as a fraud.
After casting his vote, Melaye said if the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), did not review the initial poll, he would head to court.
He said, “What we have as result is fraud… a major fraud.”
According to Melaye, INEC must cancel the election in Kogi West in general as it was fraudulent, adding that he is going to court was inevitable if INEC refused.
The Senator said he hoped that the supplementary election would not look like the one conducted on 16 November 2019.

Some men in police uniforms were reportedly arrested during <a href="http://concisenews.global/politics/">supplementary election</a> in Ajaokuta local government area of Kogi state.
According to The Nation, the men arrived Polling Unit 008, Ganaja ward at 11:08 am, while election process was underway, pretending to be police officers.
It was however later discovered that they were impersonating officers of the Nigeria police force.
They have been apprehended by the police.
The supplementary/rerun poll was scheduled for today after the November 16 poll was declared inconclusive.
A margin less than the number of outstanding votes between Sen. Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Sen. Dino Melaiye of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) led to that.

Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Saturday expressed satisfaction over the <a href="https://www.concisenews.global/2019/11/29/court-finds-south-african-police-officer-guilty-of-killing-nigerian/">justice meted out to the police officer that killed a Nigerian in South Africa</a>.
In a statement by the Head of Media and Public Relations Unit of the Commission, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, in Abuja, she said:” We are glad that justice has been done”.
”We have always stated that there have to be consequences for actions. We are glad that this case finally came to an end and South Africa has demonstrated the political will to deal with xenophobia,” she said.
The NIDCOM boss implored Nigerians in South Africa to adhere to President Muhammadu Buhari’s advice to be good ambassadors of Nigeria where ever they find themselves.
Dabiri-Erewa added that Nigeria and South Africa would work towards a united Africa with a view to bringing to book all perpetrators of violence irrespective of their nationality.
She commended the Nigerian Mission in Johannesburg for following through with the case and other cases involving Nigerians.
Speaking in the same vein, the Consul General of Nigeria in South Africa, Godwin Adama, said that he was happy that the case came to an end on Friday with judgment pronounced on the guilty police officer.
Adama disclosed that the second case of 8 policemen being tried for the murder of a Nigerian, Ibrahim Badmus, was adjourned until April 2020 for final ruling due to some technical issues.
He said the judgment of Friday has raised the spirit and morale of Nigerians in South Africa.
NAN reports that the case started since 2018 when a Nigerian, Ebuka Okoli, who was killed by a South Africa police officer and was found guilty of all the four count charges.
There is no death sentence in South Africa laws, except life sentence or long sentence for murder.

The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has destroyed some illegal movies and videos seized from the Nigerian market valued at not less than 500 million Naira in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
<a href="http://concisenews.global/">Concise News</a> learnt that officials of the NFVCB, officers of the Nigerian Police Force and that of the Federal Fire Service were among stakeholders present at the event.
The items destroyed included DVDs, CDs, copies of 20 in 1 video films, unclassified foreign and local films, as well as pornographic materials.
The executive Director of the board, Adedayo Thomas, said that the items were confiscated during raid operations and enforcement drive in markets in the Federal Capital Territory and its neighbouring towns.
“Our enforcement drive within a period  resulted to the removal of these unapproved film and video works with street value of over N500 million.
“The creative industry is acclaimed to have contributed 1.4 per cent to Nigeria’s GDP, and it can do more for owners, producers and distributors of films and video works to get value from their investment.
“If the sector is in a mess, investors will not come, that is why we are cleaning the market for the film owners to enjoy the reward of their work,’’ he said.
“One of the key facilitators of the objectives of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government is the continuous improvement on, respect for, and enforcement of intellectual property and ownership rights in the film industry.
“This is pursued by discouraging the distribution of unapproved, unclassified and unwholesome films and tackling other illicit activities in the film market.
“Industry players lose billions of naira to adulterated, smuggled and unclassified works through agents and distributors, which ultimately denies the government its statutory revenues.
“It is on this premise that the National Film and Video Censors Board, about two years ago, re-constituted the National Task Force on unapproved movies with the support of the Minister of Information and Culture.
“The immediate intervention of the Task Force, which includes industry stakeholders, guilds and in-house operations staff of the board, led to many unprecedented massive raid successes across the country,” he said.
In his remark, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, commended the NFVCB for remaining resolute in raiding Nigerian film market of unwholesome products, adding that the force was willing to always work with it.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has interrogated Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema over an alleged $44.9 million wire deals.
<a href="http://concisenews.global/">Concise News</a> reports that this comes days after <a href="https://www.concisenews.global/2019/11/23/air-peace-chairman-onyema-indicted-for-20m-fraud-in-us/">United States Department of Justice indicted Onyema</a> for moving more than $20 million from Nigeria through US bank accounts in a scheme involving false documents based on the purchase of airplanes.
According to The Nation, EFCC may watch-list a former Special Adviser/Coordinator of the Amnesty Programme Office and would be placed on INTERPOL red alert list.
It also revealed that the Air Peace boss was quizzed on Wednesday and has been placed on administrative bail.
It was, however, learnt that his activities are under the anti-graft commission’s surveillance.
According to a source, the invitation of Onyema was part of the ongoing collaboration with the FBI and other security networks working on the alleged $44.9 million wire deals in which Onyema, his Finance Officer Ejiroghene Eghagha and two banks were implicated.
Our team of detectives on Wednesday interacted with Onyema in our Lagos office on the wire deals, especially on issues involving money laundering.
“The questioning was part of our ongoing collaboration with the FBI and other agencies in line with the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) between Nigeria and the United States.
“We decided to release Onyema on administrative bail in deference to his constitutional right of innocence until proven guilty.
“But Onyema is on surveillance by the EFCC pending the conclusion of the ongoing investigation.”
Asked why the EFCC opted to interrogate Onyema after charges have been preferred against him and Ejiroghene Eghagha in the United States, the source added: “There are vital Nigerian components of the indictment and demands of the US Government.
“For instance, the US is seeking the forfeiture of over $13 million left in some accounts linked with the suspect in the United States and Canada. The funds are $4,017,852.51 in JP Morgan Chase Bank in the US and $4,593,842.05 and $5,634,842.04 in the Bank of Montreal, Canada.
“We cannot rule out some of the money in some accounts in Nigeria. And our investigation may reveal the identities of other accomplices. Also, two Nigerian banks have been mentioned in the wire deals, especially transactions on purchase of aircraft.
“If there are assets to be seized in Nigeria, we have to collaborate with the US Government on the forfeiture process.”

Wife of the President, <a href="https://www.concisenews.global/news">Aisha Buhari</a> is facing a backlash over her comment on the controversial bill that seeks to regulate social media.
She had said that China has been able to control the use of social media for its 1.3 billion population, so there is no reason why the federal government cannot ”control 180 million citizens”.
Aisha said this on Friday at the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) general assembly meeting in Abuja, as she noted that the issue of social media is a serious one.
However, her comment was not well greeted by Nigerians who have been lashing out on the President’s wife for what many termed irresponsible comment.

Police in Abia State has threatened to take decisive action against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu should he return to Nigeria for the burial of his mother.
The police made the comment following rumours making the round in recent time that Kanu would return home for his mother’s burial.
The Abia State Commissioner of Police, Ene Okon, made it known that police in the state will not spare Kanu if he sets foot in Abia.
Okon said this is because the IPOB leader was declared wanted.
The CP, in an interview with the Sun, equally warned that police will not hesitate to arrest any IPOB member who may want to identify himself as belonging to the pro-Biafra group during the burial.
IPOB had said that their leader, Kanu will be coming home for his mother’s burial.
He said, “Well, if members of IPOB are speculating that, the police do not know that one. What I know is that Nnamdi Kanu jumped bail and escaped and is wanted and remains a wanted man.
“Until that time, but I couldn’t tell you about police action on anything that is speculation, until he comes.
“If he comes back and submits himself to the police, police will know what to do at that time. Like I said earlier, we do not deal on speculation, but if actually he will come back, then we will know what to do.
“If he submits himself, we have to take him before the court, but where if he fails to submit himself to the police if he comes back, he is a wanted man; he is a wanted man and the law on somebody that is wanted is clear.
“Even you as a private person or civilian can arrest a wanted man and hand him over to the police. Then what will police do? If someone is wanted and police see that person, definitely he will be arrested by the police and handed over to the court.
“Did he jump bail or not? He had a case in court, he was granted bail, and he jumped bail. So, when somebody jumps bail, what do you call that one?
“If he claims he did not do anything, he that will be an illusion, living in the inclination of the grandeur. The fact remains that he jumped bail and escaped, and he is wanted, he is wanted. So, that is the position.
“The court will decide and not the police. But the fact remains that once any person is declared wanted, wherever the police see him in any corner of Nigeria, the person will be arrested.
“That has to do with international law and a lot of things are involved that require going through Interpol.
“Some people believe Nigeria police is acting as local lords in this matter. Why has it not initiated that move for Interpol to get the IPOB leader arrested?
“That’s a question I cannot answer, there is international dimension to it. The Federal Government has to come in here.
“You know Nigeria is a member of Interpol, a member of international organizations that have treaties; it has to go through these treaties, conventions and all that.
“You can’t just jump over some of these things and you say you want to arrest somebody, no, there are procedures.
“We are in a country that has treaties with other countries, we need a whole lot of laws and all that and you have to go through all those procedures, it’s not a day’s job.”

Wife of Nigeria’s President, Aisha Buhari, has voiced out in support of the proposed legislation for the regulation of social media.
According to her, China has been able to control the use of social media for its 1.3 billion population, so there is no reason why the federal government cannot ”control 180 million citizens”.
She spoke on Friday at the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) general assembly meeting in Abuja, Aisha said the issue of social media is a serious one.
The Senate had on November 6 reintroduced a bill seeking to regulate social media in the country.
There have been backlash and protests by some Nigerians against the bill sponsored by Mohammed Sani Musa, senator representing Niger east, saying its introduction is a plot to clamp down on free speech and public criticism.
“On this issue of social media, you cannot just sit in the comfort of your house and tweet that the Vice President has resigned. It is a serious issue,” Aisha said.
“If China can control over 1.3 billion people on social media, I see no reason why Nigeria cannot attempt controlling only 180 million people.”
Mrs Buhari also lamented that things are getting out of hand in the country because citizens do not have access to basic amenities.
“We should either fasten our seatbelt or do the needful or we will all regret it very soon because, at the rate things are going, things are getting completely out of hand,” she said.
“The VP (Yemi Osinbajo) is here, some ministers are here, they are supposed to do justice to the situation.
“People cannot afford potable water in this country while we have governors. Since this is the highest decision-making body of Islamic affairs, for those that are listening, we should fear God, and we should know that one day, we will return to God and account for our deeds here on earth.”

First Lady, Aisha Buhari has bemoaned the challenges facing the country, calling on political classes to act aptly before things get out of hand.
Speaking during the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) General Assembly and National Executive Council (NEC) meeting at the National Mosque Abuja, with the theme; “Islam and National Development”, Aisha
She said: “We should either fasten our seatbelts and do the needful or we will all regret it very soon because, at the rate things are going, things are getting completely out of hand.
“The VP (Yemi Osinbajo) is here, some ministers are here, they are supposed to do justice to the situation.
“People cannot afford potable water in this country while we have governors. Since this is the highest decision-making body of Islamic affairs, for those that are listening we should fear God, and we should know that one day, we will return to God and account for our deeds here on earth,” she said.
Also speaking on social media regulation, the first lady said if China could control 1.3 billion people, Nigerian should be able to control 180 million.

Declaring the conference open, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said “We should be our brother’s keepers no matter the religion. We should always be ready to make sacrifices for one another. We have religious and tribal tensions in this country. Many are beating the drums of ethnic and religious war, we are at a historic juncture of our nation.”

The Governor of Bauchi State Bala Mohammed has dedicated his victory at the Court of Appeal to God and citizens of the north-eastern state.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Jos on Friday upheld Mohammed’s victory in the March 9 governorship elections, reaffirming the October 9, 2019 judgement delivered by the Bauchi State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.
Following the tribunal verdict, the governor’s APC rival, Muhammed Abubakar, approached the appeal court and requested that the verdict be upturned and he be declared the winner.
The court of appeal, in its judgement, upheld the tribunal’s verdict and dismissed Abubakar’s case as lacking in merit.
“I just received very good news from my team of lawyers that the appeal court in Jos has affirmed our victory and endorsed the verdict of the tribunal. This victory is not about Bala Mohammad; it is from God and for the people of Bauchi State.
“We are sincerely humbled by this victory and we dedicate it to the Almighty God and to the good people of Bauchi State,” Mohammed said.
The governor urged the entire people of the state to celebrate in peace, adding that the celebration could only make sense when every Bauchi child of school age is in the classroom.
“Our victory and celebration can only make sense after every Bauchi child of school age are in the classroom; when every school leaver is practically engaged when every pregnant woman has reasonable assurances that she will not die at childbirth.
“It can only make sense when our retired men and women can receive their legitimate entitlement, which is their pension and gratuities, as and when due,” he said.
While extending a hand of fellowship to his opponents and their supporters, urging them to join him in the quest to rebuild Bauchi State, Mohammed reiterated his promise to offer the state a purposeful leadership.

The WWII bomb found in Schönelfeld, Brandenburg’s largest airport, was located close to the taxiway used by aircraft in hundreds of thousands of cases in the past decades.
According to the operators of all three major airports in and around Berlin, workers were busy with improvements for one of the runways between the airport and Willy Brandt Airport when they found the bomb.
The bomb was found at 12:20 pm (1120 GMT) and was diffused last night.
Air traffic was stopped for an hour while the situation was evaluated.
During that time period, incoming flights were diverted to Tegel Airport, while outgoing ones needed to wait.

Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Friday said its members nationwide are complying with the directive not to enroll in the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).
The Union described the reported compliance as clear evidence that the union is winning the struggle against lawless government and autocratic leadership of the country.
Prof Deji Omole, the Chairman, University of Ibadan Chapter of the Union, in a release, thanked members for standing on principle to salvage public education and secure the future of Nigeria for the children of the masses.
The ASUU boss claims Nigeria’s problems are not about payroll but failure of leadership at state and national levels.
ASUU says its refusal to enroll on the IPPIS is meant to protect the rule of law, sanctity of the university system and ensure the education system gets its due.
“Information reaching the leadership of ASUU UI reveals that the level of compliance to the directive of the union against IPPIS forceful enrolment is overwhelming nationwide.
“There is clear evidence that we are winning the struggle as our support base in the various congresses remains solid.
“By the resolution of our union, no member of the union is allowed to enlist in the IPPIS platform.
“Nigeria’s problem is not about payroll but failure of leadership both at national and state levels, and the desperation of the ruling class to enslave everyone on behalf of foreign economic interests.
“United we bargain, divided we beg. The people united can never be defeated. Dare to struggle, dare to win. Solidarity forever,” he stated.

Voting has commenced in the Kogi West supplementary/rerun poll which was scheduled for today after the November 16 poll was declared inconclusive.
Voters and INEC Staff started arriving Polling Units as early as 7:30 am in some of the centres.
Simultaneous Accreditation and Voting started at 8:15 at Inuwa Lenge Open Space PU 04, with the relatively large voters that turned out for the exercise remaining peaceful and orderly. A team of policemen were also on ground to keep the peace.
Mallam Bala a 60-year-old farmer after casting his vote, expressed satisfaction with the exercise and hoped it would not be “scattered again.’
“I am happy with the way it is going. No crisis. No fighting. They should just let us vote and they count it. We don’t need to fight. I am happy with the way we are calm.” He told TheNews
Following a margin between less than the number of outstanding votes between Sen. Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Sen. Dino Melaiye of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 16 rerun, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the election inconclusive.
